FAQ

How many coats of Paint do I need?

Usually 2, often 1 coat is not enough. The number of coats can depend on the quality of the paint as well as the colors of the old and new paint.

When do you need the colors?

The day after we finish the prep work, we start painting. We need the colors by that morning.

Oil or Latex, which should you use?

Oil primer is always neccessary outside, followed by latex paint. Latex primer and paint are used indoors.

How will you protect my home/business?

The care of your home is a priority to us. We use clean dropcloths to protect floors, and plastic sheeting for furniture. We isolate rooms with plastic sheeting on door openings and vacuum everyday.

How long will it take?

Estimated times for prep and paint:

1 Room-1-1.5 days

Whole house interior-2 weeks

Whole house exterior-1.5 weeks

Whole house interior/exterior-3 weeks

How can mildew and algae be managed?

Prep work including a chemical powerwash is useful outdoors. Mildewicide additives for paint reduce the chance of mildew growth.
